With a combined population of more than 1 million, Tempe, Mesa, Chandler and Gilbert comprise one of the nation’s fastest-growing regions. Even though they are in the suburbs, each is creating an urban buzz through development and redevelopment of their respective downtowns.
The downtown revival of four Southeast Valley cities will be discussed by a panel of representatives from each at the January lunch sponsored by the Arizona chapter of CoreNet Global. Todd Sanders, President/CEO of the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce, will serve as moderator.
Panelists include Kate Borders, Executive Director, Downtown Tempe Authority; Jeff McVay, Manager of Downtown Transformation, City of Mesa; Jeff Kaluga, Executive Director, Downtown Chandler Community Partnership; and Amanda Elliott, Heritage District Liaison, Town of Gilbert.
The event is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 21, at Phoenix Country Club. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. followed by the presentation. Price is $35 for CoreNet Global Arizona members and $70 for non-members and includes the program, lunch, and networking.
