Institutional Property Advisors (IPA), a division of Marcus & Millichap (NYSE: MMI), announced today that executive managing directors Steve Gebing and Cliff David earned multiple national firmwide and industry awards for achievements in their work assisting institutional and major private investors with the disposition of multifamily investment properties throughout Arizona. Their awards included being named Connect CRE Top Sales Brokers and CoStar Power Brokers. Gebing and David also earned Marcus & Millichap’s two most prestigious internal awards, the Circle of Excellence Award, and the Chairman’s Club Award. They were IPA’s two top 2020 sales professionals in the United States: their second consecutive year receiving this recognition.
“Cliff and Steve’s comprehensive study of Arizona’s multifamily market provides investors with actionable insights that bring enhanced value,” said Ryan Sarbinoff, Marcus & Millichap vice president and regional manager in Phoenix. “The accolades and awards they earn are a direct result of their immersion in Arizona’s multifamily landscape and the exceptionally high quality of the services and results they deliver to clients.”
Gebing and David closed over $1.7 billion in property sales in 2020 and were promoted to executive managing directors, the highest designation Marcus & Millichap and IPA investment professionals can attain. David began his career with the firm in 2002, was an associate in 2004 and in 2005 was recognized as Marcus & Millichap’s Top First Year Agent for its Arizona offices. He achieved the senior managing director designation in 2017 before becoming an IPA advisor in 2019. David holds a B.S.B.A. degree in finance from the University of Arizona and is a member of the National Multi Housing Council and Arizona Multihousing Association.
Gebing joined Marcus & Millichap in 2006 after seven years at IBM, where he served as a worldwide sales and marketing manager. He became part of Marcus & Millichap’s Institutional Property Advisors division in 2014 and was promoted to senior managing director in 2017. He graduated from the University of Arizona summa cum laude with a B.A. degree in management information systems, received a Master of Science degree in technology commercialization from The University of Texas at Austin, and earned the George Kozmetsky Award for Academic Excellence.
