Plaza Companies Brokerage Services Team Recognized as “Healthcare Broker of the Year” at 2021 Best of NAIOP Awards

Second Time in Three Years the Plaza Team Earns Coveted Industry Recognition

Plaza Companies’ Brokerage Services team was recognized as the “Healthcare Broker of the Year” at the 2021 National Association for Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP)-Arizona Awards on May 13.

It’s the second time in three years the Plaza team has received this prestigious industry recognition, and is one of a variety of awards the company has won for its development, brokerage and property management over the past few years. 

The Plaza Brokerage Services team includes Perry Gabuzzi, Director; Margaret Lloyd, Senior Vice President; Bill Cook, Senior Vice President; and Mike McWilliams, Associate. Combined, the group generated more than 102 healthcare transactions which included 99 Medical Office Lease transactions and three Medical Office Building Sales, totaling 381,296 square feet of healthcare transactions.

Plaza’s most significant 2020 transactions included:

  • Represented the Landlord in the 10-year renewal of District Medical Group for 56,530 rentable square feet at Park Central, located at 3141 N 3rd Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85012. Total Lease consideration valued at $12,501,044.
  • Represented the Landlord, RyanPlaza Ironwood, LLC, in securing Banner Atlas I, LLC for a 10-year Lease totaling 13,573 rentable square feet at Ironwood Medical Plaza II located at the Banner Ironwood Medical Center campus at 37200 N Gantzel Road, Queen Creek, AZ. Total Lease consideration valued at $3,238,953.
  • Two tenant representation deals totaling in excess of 14,000 square feet for Serenity TMS Centers, with a value of more than $4.8 million.

Gabuzzi is also a member of the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) Institute, Central Arizona Chapter. Lloyd has served on the Healthcare Leadership Council for the Greater Phoenix Economic Council, and was a member of Lambda Alpha International, Commercial One and West Valley Commercial Real Estate Group. And Cook has established strong ties with some of the Valley’s leading employers and landlords, and is a member of Valley Partnership, the Community Building Consortium for the Greater Phoenix Economic Council. Some of the companies the group has worked with include Banner Health, HonorHealth, Blue Buffalo, Roadmaster Group, Healthcare Trust, Inc., and Holualoa Companies.
