Willmeng Construction, Inc. (Willmeng) was recently recognized as the Landmark Leader General Contractor of the Year by the Phoenix Business Journal. Willmeng is one of the fastest-growing tenant improvement and ground-up general contractors in the Valley, and was nominated among hundreds of other companies in the Valley before being selected by a panel of judges for the prestigious recognition.

The annual awards recognize only one firm for each of the 12 categories. The recipients exemplify the best practices in commercial real estate, and help shape the Valley’s real estate legacy.

“Our client-centric approach and willingness to do more than our share have allowed us to realize growth and innovation,” James Murphy, Willmeng president & CEO. “Being recognized as Landmark Leader General Contractor of the Year is huge honor that our team will proud of for years to come.”

Willmeng has more than 80 employees who are dedicated to Arizona’s economy and community, resulting in significant growth for the firm in the last decade. Willmeng’s allegiance to the state is evidenced by a commitment to developing projects in Arizona, by hiring nearly 30 percent of employees from the Del E. Webb School of Construction at Arizona State University, and by working directly with more than 50 nonprofit and industry organizations in recent years to influence positive change.
