Veteran Multimarket Broker Mark Stratz Appointed to Lead Transwestern’s Phoenix Operations

Stratz, Partner Scott Baumgarten Bring Strong Track Record, Relationships to New Roles

(JAN. 3, 2018 – Phoenix) – Transwestern today announces Mark Stratz has joined the firm as Senior Vice President and City Leader to oversee all operations in the firm’s Phoenix office. In this role, he will focus on growing operations, elevating and innovating client services, attracting new talent and creating new business opportunities for the firm and his team.

Stratz joins Transwestern from Cushman & Wakefield, where he served as Director, Office Group since 2005 with his business partner, Scott Baumgarten, who is also joining Transwestern as Senior Vice President. During their tenure, the team led the market through innovation in creative office and adaptive reuse projects covering vintage warehouses to high-rise office conversions. Some of their notable clients include Boyer Company, LNR Partners, Holualua Companies, and The University of Arizona. Prior to Cushman and Wakefield, Stratz was a Senior Associate in CBRE’s Seattle office. He graduated from Washington State University. Baumgarten graduated from the University of Arizona before becoming an Office Broker at Cassidy Turley. Both will continue to advise new and existing clients in their roles at Transwestern.

Transwestern has been serving commercial real estate owners, users and investors in the Phoenix market since 1992. The team of 22 offers in-house marketing and research services to support the company’s agency leasing, tenant advisory, asset services and capital markets practices. Last year, the office completed 55 transactions and currently manages more than 5.2 million square feet of space.
