Three Walker & Dunlop Originators Honored as Rainmakers of the Year by Real Estate Forum

Walker & Dunlop, Inc. (NYSE: WD) (the “Company”) announced today that Brandon Harrington, Matt Steffen, and Alex Inman have been named Rainmakers of the year by Real Estate Forum magazine. Together, Brandon, Matt, and Alex closed 79 transactions totaling over $942 million in 2016.
Senior Vice President and Chief Production Officer of the western region, Cliff Carnes, commented, “Having not just one, but three Walker & Dunlop originators named Rainmakers exemplifies the strength and breadth of the Company’s platform. Brandon, Matt, and Alex have delivered fantastic debt options to their clients for acquisition, refinance, and re-positioning of their multifamily and commercial properties. This is evidenced by the tailored solutions they provide to their clients and the resulting repeat business.”
Sule Aygoren, editor in chief of ALM Real Estate Media (owner of Real Estate Forum and GlobeSt.com) stated, “This year’s list of Rainmakers is a true testament to the activity we’ve seen in the commercial real estate financing arena in the past several quarters. Not only did we receive a record number of entries, but the achievements of the top 25 producers—be they individuals or teams—was staggering. In all, these agents completed more than 1,300 debt and equity originations in 2016, accounting for some $30 billion in financing transactions.”
Selected from dozens of submissions, the 29 finalists have been recognized among the top-producing debt and equity originators in the United States’ commercial real estate space. Each originator received a score for two categories—the total number of transactions and the total volume of transactions completed in 2016. The final score was based on the average of the two categories.
