After closing a large deal with the Peoria Towne Center a few years ago, Shari Tucker is back in big business and part of the redevelopment of the Old Town Peoria revitalization program. Tucker is an Associate Broker and Principal of the Sperry Van Ness, LLC office in Phoenix, AZ. and is known for her big box and mixed-use deals. Tucker recently met with the city of Peoria and solidified her representation of 2 property locations in the Old Town Peoria totaling approximately $5,000,000.00 in value totaling 8.21 acres.
The City of Peoria’s goal is to improve the overall commercial district by blending a combination of commercial, residential, institutional, cultural or industrial uses in downtown Peoria. Any of these options is ideal when you already have a beautiful family park and performing arts center nearby to bring additional value. An exciting addition to the area is Lucidi Distilling Co. that produces an ultra-premium and small-batch spirits that would include vodka, gin, rum, whiskey, and bourbon.
Let’s not forget to mention the Arizona corn-based moonshine in 22 flavors. Founder and distiller, Christopher Lucidi “is excited that this area is sanctioned for an entertainment district. This is amazing.” It is just as amazing as renovating the old historic Fire Station #1 into a distillery and tasting room of 1,250 SF that is set to open mid-September.
The economic opportunity for new business owners has so much potential. “I would love to see more family entertainment and restaurants flourish in this area again.” Tucker has been invested in this development for many years and hopes that someone will come in and also “build family related businesses.” There are so many opportunities for buyers and developers who are interested in redevelopment. If any buyer wants the support of the city, then this is the time to buy.
