The first high-rise luxury condominium tower at Optima Kierland is over 50 percent sold, with the developer’s ability to customize each home, unmatched amenities and desirable location cited as the primary factors in accelerating sales, and helping the community to reach the development milestone ahead of schedule.
More than 115 homes have been sold in the 12-story Phase I condominium tower, located at 7120 Kierland Boulevard in the North Scottsdale Kierland neighborhood. Home sale prices have ranged from the $300,000s to $6.5 million.
Early buyers have taken advantage of the ability to combine two or more residences to create custom homes. The largest to date is the combination of five residences on the tower’s penthouse levels, totaling more than 6,500 square feet. Buyers who opt to purchase individual residences also cite the ability to customize their home design as a key factor in their decision to buy at Optima Kierland, as there are more than 30 floor plans and 16 finish packages curated by the development’s architects David Hovey Sr., FAIA and David Hovey Jr., AIA, from which to choose. (Standard one- to five-bedroom homes range in size from approximately 720 to 4,500 square feet, and start in the $300,000s.)
A key differentiator influencing sales at Optima Kierland is the expansive amenities package offered to residents.
“We have designed Optima Kierland with amenities you’d expect from a five-star resort,” said Optima President David Hovey Jr., AIA. “Coupled with the location adjacent to world-class shopping, dining and golf, the amenities at Optima Kierland offer infinite possibilities for residents to live well.”
The Sky Deck offers rooftop amenities including uninterrupted views of the McDowell Mountains, desert and cityscape, which can be enjoyed from the heated lap pool, therapeutic spa or outdoor lounge areas. Additionally, the Sky Deck features a sauna, steam room, hydrotherapy, full kitchen with a covered bar, barbecues and fire pits.
A glass-enclosed, 16,000-square-foot indoor/outdoor fitness center supports residents’ wellness needs, complete with weights, top-of-the-line cardio equipment, and on-site personal training by ProCore Performance™. Indoor basketball and squash courts, an indoor golf simulator, steam rooms, saunas, a hot tub, cold plunge, yoga room and locker rooms are also featured.
Outdoor leisure amenities feature landscaped courtyards with water features, sun decks, barbecue areas and a pet park. Shaded walking paths connect Optima Kierland to the adjacent premier North Scottsdale shopping and dining destinations Scottsdale Quarter and Kierland Commons, and neighboring Westin Kierland Resort & Spa offers world renowned golf and spa experiences.
Concierge services are offered at Optima Kierland and two levels of underground parking are provided beneath the condominium tower.
“We set out to create something that would stand apart from the crowd at Optima Kierland and the local market reception tells us we have realized that goal,” said Hovey. “There is no other place in the Valley where individuals can experience the elevated lifestyle they will achieve at Optima Kierland.”
Optima Kierland’s first condominium residents are expected to begin moving in early 2018, with completion of the tower planned for August 2018.
Situated on 9.5 acres at Scottsdale Road and Kierland Boulevard, the project is being developed by Optima, the community designer, developer and general contractor. San Francisco-based sales and marketing company Polaris Pacific is representing Optima Kierland.
