LGE Design Build has completed a 20,500-square-foot medical office building in Anthem for Wood Orthodontics and Sheppard Pediatric Dentistry, two thriving practices with growing customer bases in the area.
The new horseshoe-shaped building, 41930 N. Venture Drive, includes a water feature in the courtyard. A bubble wall that blows real bubbles for patients separates the offices for Wood Orthodontics and Sheppard Pediatric Dentistry. The building has visible signage on I-17.
“The new Anthem medical office building is incredibly functional and visually appealing. We worked with the practices to create a fun and relaxing environment for their young patients,” said David Sellers, LGE Design Build president.
Wood Orthodontics and Sheppard Pediatric Dentistry were previously located in a building about a half mile north. Needing more efficient space near their patients, the long-time friends decided to construct a new building together.
“We are thrilled with LGE Design Build’s imagination and innovation in creating a beautiful building designed specifically for our patients,” Dr. Wyatt Wood said.
Dr. Wyatt Wood and Dr. Greg Sheppard became friends while attending Ohio State University together. A proud alumnus, Wood Orthodontics features an Ohio State theme including a wall mural of the stadium.
Sheppard Pediatric Dentistry features a movie theme including a 9-seat movie theater, near the waiting room, that shows full-length kids’ movies. Kids can also play video games and Xbox. Patients select a show and watch TV on the ceiling during their exams. The floor includes “Hollywood Walk of Fame” stars.
“We were very involved in the construction and design process. The collaboration among friends and professionals resulted in a fun, functional and efficient medical office building,” Dr. Greg Sheppard said. “Our staff, patients and friends are excited about the outcome.”
Wood Orthodontics started practicing in the new office in December while Sheppard Pediatric Dentistry began operating there in January.
A chiropractor, Back to Health of Anthem, is also located in the building. About 3,500 square feet of space in two suites remains available for lease.
Cawley Architects of Phoenix served as the architect.
