The team at Jokake Construction, a full-service general contractor, continues to grow and is excited to announce its latest addition: experienced communication professional Allison Black has just been hired as the company’s new Marketing Project Manager. Black began her tenure with Jokake in December 2015 and is poised to be a crucial part of marketing efforts.
In her new role, Black will be managing marketing programs at Jokake both internally and externally and working with the marketing, business development and leadership teams on website and integrated campaigns. She will also be in charge of collaborating and executing graphics and artwork; writing copy; communicating with stakeholders; market research; internal communication; social media; public relations; and assisting with company events.

Black, who earned a bachelor’s of arts degree in communication with a minor in business from Arizona State University, previously worked with FITCH Architecture as the manager of business development and marketing. There, she landed the company’s first REVIT project with Crate & Barrel and won clients such as Francesca’s, Hobby Lobby, Tractor Supply Co., Postino/Upward Projects, Dunkin’ Brands, and more. She also attended Scotwork negotiation training in London.
Before FITCH, she worked at Fox Restaurant Concepts, where she had the opportunity to create a group event planning/private dining business model and planned large-scale events surrounding the 2008 SuperBowl XLII. She also worked with the Phoenix Suns selling premium inventory and planning half-time entertainment performances.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Black is an International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) member and a 2015 Valley of the Sun 20-30 member with ongoing volunteer time given to several Valley children’s charities.
