Being a female-run publishing company in a male-dominated industry, we’re staying true to the tradition we set years ago: faithfully dedicate an issue to honor many of the “Women in Power” in the commercial real estate industry of the Valley. But that’s not all. We’ve also caught up with some of our past “Women in Power” to give you an update on their success and where they’re headed. It’s just like the updates on “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” but with focus on the people instead of the buildings – another theme we’ve stayed true to. It’s not about whether you’re a man or a woman, but rather, being in the minority as a maverick. For instance, the town of Gilbert, Ariz. has sit back and watched its neighbors (especially Tempe and Chandler) burst with activity for too long.
