Haworth, Inc., a global designer and manufacturer of workplace furniture, interior architecture and technology solutions based in Michigan, announced today an expansion into the greater Phoenix, Arizona region. Two successful, long-standing Haworth dealers have independently opened full-service design centers in the Phoenix metropolitan area at 9 a.m. today. These dealers, faciliteQ and TBI, bring a combined 22 years of experience servicing the commercial furniture needs to the central Arizona region.
“The Haworth organization has been actively strengthening our distribution systems to better compete and leverage offerings in the growing Phoenix market,” said Haworth Business Development Director, Andy Paterson. “We’re proud of the natural progression that culminates today with facilteQ and TBI opening offices in Phoenix. Each dealership brings proven industry expertise and will provide the greater breadth of complex skills and resources our customers deserve.”
faciliteQ will have offices at 1255 W. Rio Salado Parkway, Suite 111, Tempe, AZ, and TBI will have offices at 117 E. 5th St., Suite 103, Tempe, AZ. Both faciliteQ and TBI are already servicing customers in the greater Phoenix area with over 20 years of familiarity with the market.
Quentin Abramo, president of Las Vegas, Nevada based faciliteQ, has worked with Haworth since 1989 and been an independent dealer since 1996. Abramo is involved with various community organizations in Phoenix and worked here for a number of years. With these strong connections in the market, faciliteQ delivers a fully-integrated solution, from the design process through installation and service.
Jim Cain, president, TBI, has led his Tucson-based company since 2007. During his leadership the company has seen an increase in revenues of over 90 percent. He began his career with Haworth over 20 years ago, starting in facilities maintenance and working his way through operations, sales, and ultimately dealer ownership.
Over the past several months, as faciliteQ and TBI worked on expansion strategies, a Haworth team has been working on this transition to strengthen customer and vendor relationships. Existing Haworth dealerships from all over the U.S. expressed their desire to expand in the Phoenix market, said Mr. Paterson. “Given their successful history, marketplace knowledge and connections in the region, Haworth leadership unanimously selected faciliteQ and TBI. The launch of the new dealerships today is the start of a variety of market events coming over the next few months. Stay tuned.”
