Chris Hew Joins Walker & Dunlop’s Mid-Atlantic Capital Markets Team

Walker & Dunlop, Inc. (NYSE: WD) announced today that it has hired Chris Hew as vice president in its Mid-Atlantic Capital Markets team in Bethesda, Maryland. Mr. Hew is a commercial real estate finance professional, responsible for sourcing and managing client relationships that lead to debt placement opportunities on office buildings, retail centers, hotels, industrial and multifamily properties throughout the region.

With over 10 years of commercial real estate lending experience, Mr. Hew is a recognized leader within the industry, closing over $400 million in lending volume in the past 3.5 years. Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Hew served as a director of debt origination at GE Capital Real Estate where he originated commercial real estate loans across all asset classes and identified and evaluated loan opportunities within the CMBS and structured finance platforms. Prior to GE Capital Real Estate, Mr. Hew served as vice president of debt origination for GE Capital Franchise Finance. In this role, Mr. Hew led the Northeast origination effort for hotel lending platforms and closed transactions totaling $120 million in twenty months.

Walker & Dunlop’s Senior Vice President of the Mid-Atlantic Capital Markets team, Dan Martin stated, “We are excited for Chris to join the Mid-Atlantic Capital Markets team. Mr. Hew received a master’s degree in Real Estate from Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Southern Connecticut State University.
