The Arizona Builders Alliance (ABA) has announced Saturn Ontiveros Jr. as Student Services Administrator. In this role, which is new to the ABA, Ontiveros will guide and counsel over 300 students of the ABA’s four apprenticeship programs— electrical, heavy equipment operator, diesel mechanic or surveying.
“The students are people from all walks of life who have an interest in any of the four programs,” said Ontiveros. “I will provide apprentices requiring assistance with exceptional customer service, expedite the enrollment process, increase student recruitment for the ABA and build a relationship with each student throughout their three to four year program.”
According to Ontiveros, in addition to his five-year experience in the public sector at Maricopa County, his recent experience as the On the Job Training Workforce Development Technician at the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) has prepared him with the skills and background needed to better serve member employers and apprenticeship students.
Ontiveros stated that he is proud to be a new member of the staff at the ABA and is eager to help facilitate the organization’s expansion with more programs, partners and students.
“Saturn is an excellent fit because of his prior experience in workforce development with some of our partners,” said Fred Ingersoll, Director of Apprenticeship and Training for the ABA. “We have grown so much in the last few years and want to be able to respond to member and student inquiries in a fast manner.”
